VH1's Basketball Wives breakout star Tami Roman-- who is known for her fiery temper--revealed she will be less dramatic than ever before during the upcoming season.

In an exclusive VH1 interview, Roman said she "dialed back the drama" when she filmed season 5.

Roman said whenever drama ensued with her castmates, she took a different approach and chose instead to work issues out with conversation instead of physical altercations.

"My approach to this season was to basically learn how to talk to the ladies and be more of a voice rather than a fist," Roman reveals in the video below.

"The tone of the show has changed," she says of the new season.  "We're able to show people that we can talk through problems, that we've grown and matured at our own pace, at our own level."

Roman said the show's viewers need to see she has positive aspects to her personality. Roman says she is more business-minded than she has been perceived and decided to show that side this time around.

"It's not that Tami didn't know how to articulate. It's not that Tami doesn't know how to interact with other people, but I chose to only use one dynamic of myself," she explained of her decision to show a change.

"I am very articulate," she shared. "I am educated. I have worked in corporate America.I had my own businesses in the past," she adds.

Roman revealed she showed her aggressive side consistently for the previous two seasons because it increased her popularity and what fans responded to the most.

"I came into the situation one way and I said, 'OK. That's working, Let me just stay there,' and it worked until it didn't work," she confessed.

"Now, I had to take responsibility and dial back and open more of myself up," said Roman who had more than one physical altercation in past seasons.  "It's just me really showing 100 percent of myself and not one aspect," she adds.
