AMC's The Walking Dead continues to garner a massive amount of attention for its upcoming season, which is set to remind its fans just how dangerous the walkers can be.

While season 3 honed in on the threat of humans to each other, the fourth will have the larger prison group facing off against herds and herds of zombies.

Director of Photography Mike Satrazemis was queried about the rumors surrounding the increased zombie presence, and gave the following response to AMC on its Walking Dead blog:

"There's going to be a good deal this season, more than we've ever seen. It's great to shoot those. We can put on the widest lens we have and fill it with information - people and walkers. And it's crazy to see that many walkers," he said.

Satrazemis also gave kudos to Greg Nicotero, who has been a jack of most trades on the program, ranging from special FX makeup to director.

The amount of work that Greg [Nicotero - executive producer and special FX makeup designer] and those guys had to do this season to get it together is pretty mind-blowing. But yeah we have some massive herds, and it becomes pretty overwhelming," he added.
