Miley Cyrus revealed in a recent interview that she wants to grow out her hair and get rid of her platinum blonde pixie, and a source said the reason is to make her fiance happy.

The We Can't Stop singer revealed her desire for long hair in a taped interview with Kelly Osbourne for E! Fashion Police. Cyrus said she is trying to grow out her hair and is taking Viviscal, a hair-growth vitamin supplement. She added, "I'm secretly tugging on it every night...I'm not going to lie. But I'm going to rock it while I have it."

Cyrus made the dramatic cut in August 2012 and a source told Hollywood Life, in a report published Thursday, that she is ready to grow it all back specifically for her fiance, Hunger Games: Catching Fire star Liam Hemsworth.

"Liam likes long hair," the source said. "He thinks Miley's beautiful no matter what and he's not going around telling her how to wear her hair but she has said that he likes her longer hair better."

Cyrus transformed her career from a Disney star to a twerking edgy singer when she cut off all her hair in 2012. Even with the craze she created with her hairstyle, the source revealed that Cyrus is now more focused on making her relationship work with Hemsworth and she knows her haircut will prove her efforts.

"Cutting all her hair off was a way for her to show her style and independence and it got her a lot of attention," the source said, "but she's focusing on her relationship with Liam again. Growing her hair out is a big sign that things are back on track for them."

In her interview with Osbourne, Cyrus also said she is proud of being part of a movement where many celebrities are getting drastic haircuts.

"Being on the cover of Maxim and having short hair, I feel like I'm speaking on behalf of girls everywhere, breaking this stereotype," she said.

As far as people considering her a style icon, she told Harper's Bazaar in its September 2013 issue, "It's been an organic thing," and, "As I take more control of my life, people are following that and are inspired by that. People want to see someone with a real clear vision of who they are right now."
