Macklemore and Ryan Lewis won the award for Best Hip-Hop Video for their song Can't Hold Us at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.

The duo was up against Drake's Started From The Bottom, Kendrick Lamar's Swimming Pools, ASAP Rocky's F---ing Problems featuring Drake, 2 Chainz and Lamar and J. Cole's Power Trip featuring Miguel.

"Can we go back, this is the moment. Tonight is the night, we'll fight till it's over so we put our hands up like the ceiling can't hold us," is the catchy chorus of the hit.

The song's video, which was released in April, has garnered over 115 million views on YouTube and peaked at No. 1 on Billboard. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis also experienced similar success with their single Thrift Shop. The upbeat tune also peaked at No. 1 on the charts and has reached over 400 million view on YouTube.

"Now that they've gone to No. 1 you can look at them and say they're radio friendly, but if you look at what [those songs are] conceptually about, they're pretty weird," their manager, Zach Quillen, recently told MTV. "A song about second-hand clothes spending six weeks at No. 1? What they are doing is unique sonically and until them there wasn't anything quite like it on radio."
