Singer Oliver Tree's final Instagram post has become a point of grief and reflection after the artist was killed in a helicopter crash in Brazil with fans and fellow musicians revisiting his last travel montage documenting his time during World Cup celebrations.

As per Men's Journal, the video posted shortly before the crash, showed Tree moving through Brazil in a fast-paced series of clips that included street interactions, food preparation, motorcycle rides, and celebrations with locals. The post, captioned in part "Gringo 24 Horas No Brasil," has since been widely shared as fans interpret it as a final glimpse into his personality and lifestyle.

Authorities in Brazil have launched an investigation into the mid-air helicopter collision that killed multiple people, including Tree. Officials have not yet released a full report on the cause of the crash.

The outlet reported that Martinez shared a private photo of the two and praised Tree's artistic energy, humor, and creative drive, describing him as someone who maintained a childlike sense of wonder and strong dedication to his work. The two artists dated between 2019 and 2021 and also collaborated creatively during their relationship.

The outlet also reported that Martinez had also previously asked fans to refrain from harassing Tree online following their breakup, and that there was a complicated, but respectful, dynamic between the two artists after their relationship ended.

Tree, who combined music, comedy and performance art, built a global fanbase with hits including "Hurt," "Cash Machine," and "Life Goes On." His unconventional public persona and visually driven storytelling made him a singular figure in modern pop and alternative music.
