Bollywood Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was honored recently with a Giants Award for her Contribution to Indian Cinemas at an event in Mumbai.

According to the Hindustan times, Bachchan, as well as forty other people from various professions were presented with Giants International Awards this year. The event is annual.

"Ladies and gentlemen, members of the media, thank you so much," Bachchan said as she accepted her award. "I truly am speechless. Thank you so much for this very, very humbling honor."

The 39-year-old actress hasn't been seen on-screen in a while, according to The Times of India. But there's hope that honoring her will prompt her to come back to screens soon.

Bachchan was last seen on screens in 2010 in the film Guzaarish.

She is best known for her work in the films The Duo in 1997, Aur Pyaar ho Gaya in 1997, Devdas in 2002, Bride and Prejudice in 2004, Jodhaa Akbar in 2008, The Pink Panther 2 in 2009, and Enthiran in 2010.

She has also won several other awards for her work, including several in 2000 for her work in the film Straight From the Heart. She won four Best Actress awards that year, including one from the International Indian Film Academy. She was given the same number of awards from the same academy in 2003 for Devdas.

She was also given the Screen Weekly Most promising newcomer-Female Award in 1998, and the Special Award from the International Indian Film Academy in 2009 for Outstanding Achievement in International Cinema.
