Once Upon a Time fans that enjoy the relationship between Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Neal (Michael Raymond-James) will have to wait a little longer for them to be reunited.

With Neal making it to Rumplestiltskin's (Robert Carlyle) castle in the season 3 premiere, he discovered that Emma was in Neverland. Despite this knowledge, Neal will have a difficult journey back home with many complications ahead.

"This show never seems to be short in the obstacles department," Raymond-James told TVLine in a Friday report. "It's one of those things where the answer to one problem usually leads to seven more problems that one needs to overcome. So there's some tough sledding ahead, I'll say that."

Meanwhile, Emma is still trying to save her son Henry (Jared S. Gilmore) from Peter Pan (Robbie Kay) while having no idea if Neal survived his plunge into the portal in the penultimate episode of season 2.

"They have no sense in Neverland what happened with Neal," Morrison said. "Because of everything [Emma] has been through - and especially having been through so much loss with Neal - for her own sanity, she has to assume that he is dead."

Meanwhile, Regina (Lana Parrilla) will finally be getting a love interest, though the storyline has not yet been shot. Parrilla told TVLine that she was anxious for Regina's love interest.

"I don't think she's kissed anyone in like 200 years," Parrilla said. "Well, [except for] the Huntsman. But there is something coming up. And I will say: Regina has not met him. But maybe the audience has."
