Drop Dead Diva is coming back -- with a bang!

The Lifetime series returns with five all-new episodes (beginning Sunday, October 6, at 9 p.m. ET/PT), and the cast and crew have been teasing a huge twist. The brand new trailer reveals the episode will be the "most explosive" plot yet.

In the clip, Grayson is seen running to the aid of one of his co-workers after what sounds to be an explosion.

But viewers will have to wait until Sunday to see what goes down!

'Drop Dead Diva' Spoilers: Will There Be Love For Guardian Angel Paul? 

Speaking to ScreenSpy, Executive Producer Josh Berman said, "I promise the viewers a major plot turn at the end of this Sunday's fall premiere of Drop Dead Diva. It will leave you breathless."

April Bowlby, who plays Stacy Barrett on the show, teased the upcoming episode on Twitter, revealing: "#dropdeaddiva is back ALL NEW this Sunday! GIANT surprise at the end."

Produced by Sony Pictures Television, the one-hour comedic drama stars Brooke Elliott, Margaret Cho, Jackson Hurst, April Bowlby, Justin Deeley, Lex Medlin and Kate Levering.

Picking up on this summer's mid-season finale, Jane (Elliott) defends a former socialite, but her tactics put the firm in financial jeopardy and threatens its very existence. Meanwhile, Owen (Medlin) and Stacy (Bowlby) explore impending parenthood after Owen agrees to be her sperm donor. As the season continues, Grayson's (Hurst) relationship with Nicole (Ilonzeh) develops further as Paul (Deeley) makes a play to convince Jane to move on and begin dating again. And Teri (Cho), Jane's faithful assistant, continues to shine while helping her with both work and her ever-complicated personal endeavors.
