Ariana Grande went off on her ex-boyfriend, Jai Brooks on Twitter after he accused her of cheating on him with Nathan Sykes.

Brooks took to his Twitter account Monday morning to post a lengthy statement about how Grande cheated on him with Sykes, her current boyfriend from the boy band, The Wanted.

"Yes I was cheated on. Yes it does suck. Yes I was left for another man," Brooks wrote. He then confessed that "like anyone who has been cheated on, it has been tough for me but I'm finally ready to move on," even offering up some advice to readers that "once you are cheated on you should never go back."

Though he did not go into details on how and when the cheating occurred, Brooks expressed how broken-hearted and "crushed" he is. But, he admitted that he missed Grande and still loves her.

"I need to start thinking of myself and do what is best for me," Brooks said.

Grande, however did not take Brooks Twitter rant lightly and posted a series of tweets, telling her side of the story.

"Woke up this morning in complete and utter shock... I guess I shouldn't be so surprised," Grande wrote Oct, 7. "You said to me if I didn't come back to you, you'd make me look bad to the entire world... I'm no longer afraid of you or your lies anymore."

Grande then went on to say that she planned to rise above the negativity.

"I'm going to be the lady my mother raised and carry myself with class and dignity... But I will never be any man's press opportunity," later adding, "It's always ok to defend yourself. My fans know what kind of person I am. Never let any man discredit u or the values you were raised with."
