The controversial Virgins Wanted auction held last October as part of a documentary, has proven to be a dud, as neither of the young adults who auctioned off their first times have yet followed up on the offers.

Both Alex Stepanov, 24, from Russia, and Catarina Migliorini, 21, from Brazil, were both featured as adults trying to have their first sexual encounters as part of a documentary by Justin Sisely, but have now both revealed that it hasn't happened for them yet.

According to the Huffington Post, Stepanov has now since opened up about why he did the project, but he hasn't had an offer for more than $3,000-which came from a man.

"The idea of auctioning off my virginity is a strange thing and it's very controversial, but I tried to block myself from thinking about it," he said. "I tried to concentrate on the project and see what it brings me because, at the end of the day, i thought, 'I'm just going to do this and when it's going to be too hard, I'm just going to pull out."

Migliorini had better offers and more publicity for the stunt.

She reportedly received an offer for $780,000 for her virginity by Japanese businessman known as 'Natsu,' but she never followed through on the deal because she began to doubt not only the identity of Natsu, but the entire project as well.

"I felt I was a victim...I was misled by Mr. Justin Sisely," she said back in July. "I believe he is trying to defraud me and others."

Sisely began filming the proposed documentary Virgins Wanted last year followig the lives of various virgins. Now the Australian filmmaker is promoting the project as a reality TV series and will debut it at the MIPCOM, a worldwide market for entertainment content to be hold in October 2014 in Cannes, France.
