The custody battle heats up on General Hospital.

The saga between former friends Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Lulu (Emme Rylan) and Maxie (Kirsten Storm) and Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) continue as the latter pair have a legal right to take back their daughter. A preview clip for the Tuesday Oct. 29 episode shows Lulu and Dante may be considering the unthinkable.

"We need to take her and run," Lulu said in the clip.

If Dante agrees with his wife's plot the two would become kidnappers and lose Connie again if they were caught and sent to prison.

The drama began when Maxie agreed to be a surrogate for her friends but miscarried their baby. After a one-night stand with Spinelli got her pregnant, she passed the baby off as Dante and Lulu's. Spinelli didn't find out until after she had done so, but swore he'd keep the secret.

Unfortunately for them, Brad (Parry Shen), overheard the conversation and interrupted Baby Connie's christening to share the news with Lulu and Dante.

Maxie and Spinelli then decided they wanted custody of their daughter, derailing attempts by Dante and Lulu to officially adopt her and sparking a custody battle. The birth parents recently won, prompting them to set up a nursery and express excitement over starting their life together with their daughter.

"I can't wait until our baby is home," Maxie said.

If Dante and Lulu run, Maxie and Spinelli may have to wait just a little longer for their happiness.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 2 p.m. on ABC.
