One Direction released in full the music video for Story of My Life on Sunday.

Inspired by the song's nostalgic lyrics, the clip shows the band members recreating memories from their childhood. Zayn Malik messes with his little sister in his old bedroom, Niall Horan plays a violin with his big brother in his family's house and Louis Tomlinson poses for a family portrait. A picture of Tomlinson with his grandparents and great-grandparents is shown, only to have his great-grandparents fade away when the picture enters the present.

All five singers gaze at old photographs and then literally re-live those memories.

Ben Winston, the producer of 1D's concert documentary This Is Us, directed the music video. The track is the second single off the band's upcoming album Midnight Memories, out Nov. 25. Horan previously said on Twitter that Story of My Life is his favorite track off the record.

"The story of my life/I take her home/I drive all night to keep her warm/And time... is frozen/ the story of, the story of" the guys sing in unison. "The story of my life/ I give her hope/ I spend her love/ until she's broke/ inside/ The story of my life."

Billboard reported last week that Story of My Life could sell around 250,000 to 270,000 downloads in its first week of release, which would be the week's second-largest debut on the Digital Songs chart behind Eminem's The Monster featuring Rihanna.

Both of 1D's first two albums, Up All Night and Take Me Home, debuted atop the Billboard 200 chart.
