White House Down actor Jamie Foxx has shut down rumors yet again that he and actress Katie Holmes are in a romantic relationship.

He said the speculation is "absurd."

He said, "I had Colin Powell on stage dancing too, so they could have said me and Colin Powell were dating." Foxx added, "You know how social media is now, they try to make a mountain out of a molehill. That's our world we live in, you try not to Kanye west it. I talk to [Kanye], you can't knock all of them out. You just keep moving."

Rumors of Foxx and Holmes dating started to swirl in August after a video of Foxx and Holmes dancing on stage at the 4th annual Apollo in the Hamptons fundraiser in East Hampton , New York hit the web. They were dancing to Robin Thicke's hit song Blurred Lines.

But many publications reported that Holmes also called on talk show host Ellen DeGeneres to jam with her on stage.

However, several sources told In Touch Weekly magazine that the two are a couple.

One source said, "Katie and Jamie have been dating for a while. They're Mission: Impossible about their romance."

Another one added, "A hotel employee confirmed that Katie had stayed at the hotel with Jamie and that she was taking his car. So the driver drove her home to her Chelsea apartment."

While Holmes has yet to speak out on the rumors as candidly as Foxx, who is a close friend to Holmes' ex-husband, actor Tom Cruise, her reps told Mail Online that the two were never dating in the first place.
