Brody (Damian Lewis) may finally be returning to U.S. soil on the upcoming episode of Homeland season 3.

Showtime released a preview for the next episode of Homeland, titled Horse and Wagon, which features Saul (Mandy Patinkin) telling Brody why he needs his help. Saul promises that Brody can return to the life he lived before he was turned by Al Queda, an offer that is undoubtedly flattering to Brody.

The promo features Brody shooting with a sniper and other potentially violent things. Saul asks that Brody do "one last thing" for him, to which Brody replies that he's "done." Saul immediately retorts with "We'll see about that." At the end of the promo, Carrie (Claire Danes) finally gets her first glimpse of Brody after several months.

Brody made his first appearance on Sunday night's episode of Homeland since the third episode of the season. Based on developments, Brody will be featured in the rest of season 3's episodes as it draws to a close.

Before season 3 began, Lewis said his character Brody might have an expiration date coming up very soon.

"Brody feels like someone who could die at any moment," Lewis explained. "I didn't expect him to survive more than two seasons. I think maybe the success of the show has altered one or two things and so I feel like I'm living on grace at the moment."

Homeland airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on Showtime.
