Season 3 of Homeland is just days away from premiering, but those involved with the show have teased a relatively major spoiler about what fans can expect.

Damian Lewis, who plays Nicholas Brody on the show, told USA Today in a Thursday article that his character may have an expiration date soon.

"Brody feels like someone who could die at any moment," Lewis admitted. "I didn't expect him to survive more than two seasons. I think maybe the success of the show has altered one or two things and so I feel like I'm living on grace at the moment."

Similarly, Homeland producer Alex Gansa revealed that Brody will not be in the series until the end.

"I don't think Brody's going to go soon, but I think that once that story stops producing fruit, we're not going to keep it around," Gansa revealed. "It's inevitable and it also keeps the show fresh. So we'll see."

The report claims that a lead character will definitely die this season, and considering Brody's numerous escapes from death in seasons 1 and 2, it is safe to assume that he is the most likely candidate. Brody was last seen going into exile after being framed for the bombing at Langley in the season 2 finale.

In other Homeland season 3 spoiler news, a new report from E!Online claims that fans should be worried about Saul's (Mandy Patinkin) job security. Saul is left in charge of the CIA in the wake of the Langley bombing, which killed 200 of the organization's agents. Enstars previously reported that the CIA might be in danger of shutting down, so Saul might be out of a job soon.
