Separation rumors have once again surrounded Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon after the former American Idol judge admitted their marriage hasn't been perfect.

In a recent interview with Angie Martinez of NYC radio station, Hot 97, Carey revealed that the couple's first year of marriage in 2008, "was the easiest."

"And then [in 2009] he started doing America's Got Talent, so he just works constantly."

Cannon spends most of the time in LA, where the show is based and although the couple have a home out there, Carey said she isn't heading out there anytime soon, which fueled many rumors of a divorce.

"I like to work at home in my little studio ..." she explained. "The house in L.A. ... I mean, he loves L.A."

"But I'm from here," she said with a sad face.

When Martinez bought up the nature of Cannon's stand-up comedy, which references the couple's marriage, Carey said she hates it.

"In his world, he feels, in the world of comedy, that he can have license to say things that he wants to say," she said. "But if it goes too far, that doesn't mean I'm not gonna say, 'Check please.'"

Last May, the couple celebrated their twin's birthdays, and their fifth wedding anniversary by closing Disneyland to renew their vows in a lavish fairytale-themed ceremony in front of the Magic Kingdom.

On Wednesday, Cannon took to Instagram to debunk separation rumors by posting a sweet photo of himself tightly hugging Carey.

Cannon captioned the black and white photo, "#WCW," which stands for "Woman Crush Wednesday."
