The Florida Seminoles may be in the middle of a sexual assault scandal with quarterback Jameis Winston, the second-ranked team is only focusing football.

Winston is at the heart of an investigation in which a female victim reported the incident from a campus dorm Dec. 7, 2012.  University officials told the media that coach Jimbo Fisher would only respond to football-related questions during his weekly press conference.

"You always address everything," Fisher said, according to ESPN. "Kids know what's going on no matter what the situations are. That's an important part of being a good team is being able to focus and control things that you can control. And deal with the other issues when it's time to deal with them.

"I think that's part of maturity. As coaches, as people in general, everybody has that issue in life. Those are very hard things to do,

The school released a statement last Wednesday saying the university was aware of an investigation and noted that "there is no change in Jameis Winston's status."

Winston has completed 70 percent of his passes for 2,938 years with 28 TD's and seven interceptions. He has helped the Seminoles score at least 24 points in each game this season.

Last week, Tim Jansen, Winston's attorney said he had given officials two affidavits from eye witnesses that "completely exonerate my client." He was sure the investigation was closed months ago.
