After Manny Pacquiao dominated Brandon Rios on Saturday in Macau, China, he'll most certainly be moving on to a more imposing challenger in his next fight.

While recovery from defeats to the likes of Timothy Bradley and Juan Manuel Marquez are certainly in the forefront for the Filipino boxer, his performance in his next bout will undoubtedly have an impact on how loud the boxing world will buzz for the match that never happened: Pacquiao versus Floyd Mayweather.

Although Pacquiao is clearly not ready for a bout against the undefeated Mayweather, Bleacher Report posted that "there is no doubt that the next Pacquiao opponent should be a major name. Rios was handpicked because of his slow hands, feet and one-dimensional style."

Pacquiao's fight against Rios was a sensible one for the former's camp as he just came off a one-year hiatus, following his last loss to Marquez.

However, eventually, he'll have to face an upper echelon opponent if he ever wants to make it back to the top to face a boxer such as Mayweather.

According to BoxingScene, boxing fans will most likely see Pacquiao in a rematch with Timothy Bradley or a fifth fight with Marquez. Marquez stated he wants a rematch with Bradley or he'll retire, but the purse to face Pacquiao once again, may be too high to turn down.
