Once Upon a Time fans will be introduced to a new fairy tale princess in the second half of season 3.

Alexandra Metz (The Originals) has been cast as Rapunzel, the iconic fairy tale figure with unusually long hair. Rapunzel will first appear in season 3, episode 14, which air some time after the show returns for the second half of the season in March 2014.

The second half of season 3 will feature Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and the gang returning to their home in Storybrooke. The rest of the season will be spent there, according to Once Upon a Time executive producer Edward Kitsis.

"The second half [of Season 3] will take place between Storybrooke and the Enchanted Forest," Kitsis told TVLine recently.

"It's not a 'journey to another land' paradigm" like Neverland, according to fellow executive producer Adam Horowitz. "We always have the ability and the desire to dip into other lands, which it's more than likely we shall do, but it will be in the way that we've done it in the past, as opposed to locking all of our characters onto a boat and sending them [to a new realm]."
