But, interested buyers won't have to pay the full price. Amazon is offering the Samsung phone starting at $142.49 as long as it's purchased with an individual or family plan for Sprint. The New York Daily News called the smartphone the "best Android device this year" in its November review.

"It's nice to see a company truly innovating, trying to develop interesting tech instead of simply copying and restyling the features that have been on the market for years. It's nice to see something different and unique," the newspaper added.
