To promote their forthcoming joint appearance on Saturday Night Live, Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake did what they know best: sing and dance.

The duo sang and jived their way through a series of short clips to promote their upcoming Dec. 21 holiday show appearance on the long-running sketch comedy program.

The clip begins with the late-night host standing alone while Timberlake stands in the background and says "He made me stand back here."

The clip also shows Fallon bursting into song and the pair dancing side by side while snapping their fingers.

The two also got involved in a shoving match after Timberlake tried joining in on Fallon's song. The trailer ends with a dance solo for Fallon and nervous laughter from Timberlake.

Fallon is scheduled to host the holiday episode, while Timberlake will be performing as a musical guest.

Both have long histories with the show. Fallon was a regular on the series from 1998-2005, according to The Daily Mail.

Timberlake has also been a regular performer and guest on the show, appearing in a "Target Lady" sketch opposite Kristen Wiig , but has also had a string of novelty hits opposite Andy Samberg under the moniker The Lonely Island. Those performances resulted in popular tunes like D*** in a Box and Motherlover.

Fallon and Timberlake also teamed up for Fallon's own show, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, back in September. Their opening skit about the overuse of hashtags went viral online.

Saturday Night Live airs Saturday, Dec. 21 at 11:30 p.m. on NBC.
