Carrie Underwood's marriage to hockey player Mike Fisher might be struggling, according to a recent report.

A source close to Underwood and Fisher claimed to Star magazine that the couple's marriage may be on the rocks. After starring in the wildly successful NBC remake of The Sound of Music, Underwood is allegedly receiving many offers for roles in musicals and focusing on her career while Fisher is concerned about the state of their marriage.

"Mike is fuming. Carrie is thrilled about all the opportunities but she's very conflicted and confused. She and Mike are barely speaking," a source close to the singer told Star.

Both Underwood and Fisher lead busy lives with Underwood serving as one of country music's top superstars and Fisher being on the road with his hockey team, the Nashville Predators.

"Between his schedule with the Nashville Predators and her rehearsals, they barely saw each other the last three months," the source claimed. "When they did steal some alone time, Carrie was wiped out physically and emotionally. The ordeal left Mike feeling neglected and ignored."

Fisher met Underwood in 2008 at one of her concerts. Fisher proposed to Underwood in late 2009 and the couple was married in summer 2010 at The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Georgia.

Underwood assumed the lead role of Maria in the live three-hour broadcast of The Sound of Music on Thursday, Dec. 5. The live broadcast was seen by over 18 million viewers, prompting NBC to order more live musicals for future broadcast.
