Duck Dynasty stars Willie and Korie Robertson discussed the A&E controversy surrounding family member Phil for the first time in Fox News' Dec. 31 show, All-American New Year.

The interview hinted there are no tensions between the Robertson family and A&E following Phil's 9-day suspension from the reality series and then return for anti-gay remarks he made.

"A&E and us are fine. The Robertsons, we're looking forward to getting back to making some funny shows, and it's a new year," Willie said. "So we're ready to break in a new year and start it all over again...We're ready to move on."

Korie followed by saying, "I'm glad the family is all together, the best thing about the show is that we get to do it all as a family."

Willie and Korie then went on to reveal what viewers will see on the Jan. 15, season 5 premiere of Duck Dynasty. While Korie disclosed that fans will, "Meet a few new people," Willie said audiences will get to know his "good looking" new assistant.

Talking to GQ magazine, Phil compared homosexuality to bestiality.

"Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there," he said. "Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men. Don't be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers-they won't inherit the kingdom of God. Don't deceive yourself. It's not right."

The season 5 premiere of Duck Dynasty airs Jan 15, at 10/9 p.m. Central on A&E.
