Madonna may be taking the stage at this year's Grammy Awards ceremony.

The Girls Gone Wild singer is the latest in a string of rumored performers for music's biggest night. Although her impending presence at the Staples Center has not been confirmed, a source told the Los Angeles Times that the iconic singer is expected to provide guest vocals during a nominee's performance.

Madonna would be joining a sting of high-profile acts that include the surviving member of the Beatles, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Metallica, Daft Punk, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Nate Ruess, Robin Thicke, Lorde, and the still unconfirmed Beyonce.

Grammy Awards' producer Ken Ehrlich hinted at the superstars' potential appearance while talking with the Los Angeles Times but stopped short of giving a definitive answer.

"Let's put it this way ... we have a really great history that goes back to the early days of Destiny's Child. I love working with [Beyonce]. She's incredible. She is so into what it is that she does and making sure that everybody who sees her walks away saying, 'wow,'" Ehrlich said. "Should she be on the show this year? I would think that the potential is there for that kind of moment." Grammy Awards show producer Ken Ehrlich .

The 56th Grammy Awards will air Jan. 26 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
