One of the major characters on Once Upon a Time will die by the end of season 3.

Once Upon a Time co-creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz revealed to TVLine this week that a major character will meet his or her demise by the end of the upcoming second half of the third season. The co-creators confirm that "the character dies, for real," suggesting that they will not be magically brought back to life.

The co-creators have ruled out the possibility of Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) as a candidate, having already sacrificed himself in the season 3 winter finale.

This means that the character dying could be any of the following:

-Emma (Jennifer Morrison)

-Snow White/Mary Margaret (Ginnifer Goodwin)

-Prince Charming/David (Josh Dallas)

-Evil Queen/Regina (Lana Parrilla)

-Henry (Jared S. Gilmore)

-Belle/Lacey (Emilie de Ravin)

-Hook (Colin O'Donoghue)

-Baelfire/Neal (Michael Raymond-James)

Among these characters, five have been with the series as a main character since the beginning, which could make them less likely to be killed off: Emma, Snow, Charming, Regina and Henry.

The character set to die could be between Belle, Hook and Baelfire, as the users at TVLine are predicting that these are the most likely. It's also possible that Henry could die to serve as a catalyst for Emma to embrace magic again, as the publication suggests.
