Tim McGraw has dished on what it will take for him and his wife Faith Hill to work together in the studio, now that speculation that the two has died down.

According to Great American Country, McGraw stressed that there's more to it than just making a song together.

He said, "We don't wanna just go cut a song to be cuttin' a song together. I think it sort of waters down what we do, not as a family or as a couple, but what we do as a singing couple. I don't want to water that down or try to do something that's just for or not necessarily for something that means something."

Still, he's not totally counting out the idea.

"I think it's about finding the right song as much as anything. There's other factors, but I think that's the biggest factor," he added.

McGraw and Hill have been married for more than 17 years and recently had to fight off rumors that they were splitting up.

They haven't spoken out about the speculation much but when they did recently, McGraw stressed that it's nothing more than just rumors. In fact, McGraw admitted that divorce rumors are something they have had to deal with ever since they tied the knot.

"...Since the first week we were married those things were out. We don't even think about it. The only time we ever think about it is [when we] worry about the kids. But they've been around it too, so they laugh it off," he said.
