After rumors had surfaced that Ariana Grande and Nathan Sykes were back together, the Right There singer officially announced that there's no truth to the speculation

In an interview with DJ Showbiz Shelly that was published on Wednesday, the singer dished about the breakup.

"We broke up a little while ago, but he's a really good friend," Grande said. "He's so talented. I am so glad to have met him and have a friend like him in my life. He's an amazing person. It was very civil. It was mutual...you know. He's such a great person. I adore him and he is so talented."

There was a report that claimed that The Wanted member had made a visit to Grande in Los Angeles, which gave suspicion that the couple hadn't called it quits. But insiders had reportedly mentioned that their relationship was over.

"They just weren't into it anymore," an insider told Us Weekly.

It was also revealed on January 22 that The Wanted was breaking up.

"This tour will be the last for a while as Tom, Max, Jay, Siva and Nathan have collectively decided to take time to pursue personal endeavours following the tour's conclusion. The band wants to stress to their fans that they will continue on as The Wanted and look forward to many successful projects together in the future. They thank their fans for their continued love and support and look forward to seeing them on tour," a statement on the band's website said.
