NCIS: Los Angeles' Callen may don a suit when he heads undercover, but the agent is loath to dress up for his private life.

Adding a tie to the ensemble is completely out of the question, as viewers find out in a sneak peek for Tuesday night's "War Cries" (see video below).

Considering how reluctant Callen (Chris O'Donnell) is to even attend this mysterious dinner his partner is forcing him to dress up for, imagine how he will react when he finds out Sam (LL Cool J) is setting him up on a date.

"Sam sets up Callen on a date. Is there a romance brewing? #staytuned E513(14) #NCISLA #jpktease," tweeted executive producer John Peter Kousakis in early January.

Fans know very little about Callen's private life asides from his notoriously Spartan living conditions, so getting a glimpse into his romantic world will definitely be a different angel for the CBS drama.

Work comes first, however, and the Los Angeles-based team will be investigating the murder of two private military contractors while working to protect another who is one of the only witnesses to a war crime.

As one drama plays out in California, another story unfolds in Afghanistan. Continuing her oversees mission to uncover a mole and take down the White Ghost, Kensi (Daniela Ruah) will be in more danger than her coworkers ever suspected. Assistant Director Granger (Miguel Ferrer) will be popping by to update Hetty (Linda Hunt) on the situation while also spending a little time working he case with Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen).

"Paired up with [Eric Christian Olsen] for the first time today. Found some very interesting moments together. Terrific actor and a great guy. #NCISLA," Ferrer tweeted back in December.

Meanwhile, Kensi's continued absence gives Nell (Renee Felice Smith) an extra chance to prove herself in the field. The intelligence analyst will be showing off her skills during "War Cries."

"NYC in the building! Watch out for a gnarly Nell ep directed by the lovely [James Hanlon] this Feb!" Smith tweeted.

NCIS: LA airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
