Fasten your seat belts, fannibals, Hannibal is set to kick off season 2 with an impressively bloody fight scene, and you can stream it nearly a week before the premiere.

Who Will Die In Season 2 Of 'Hannibal'? Which Female Character Is Set To Leave?

The NBC psychological thriller has released the first two minutes of "Kaiseki," and it looks like the FBI will finally cottoned on to Hannibal's (Mads Mikkelsen) cannibalistic ways (see video below, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly).

Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne) will take on Dr. Lecter in an appropriately set kitchen battle. As culinary instruments fly across the room with painful accuracy, Hannibal's next entrée will appear to gain the upper hand (despite taking a knife to his own appendage). However, Hanni is a cunning killer and it doesn't look like he will allow dinner to wriggle away quite so easily.

'Hannibal' To Feature Lee Pace? Bryan Fuller Dishes On Casting Former 'Pushing Daisies' Actors

However, fans will probably have to wade through 13 episodes before they will be able to see how this battle ultimately plays out. Series creator Bryan Fuller opted for an in medias res season opening, but that doesn't mean he will be giving away all the tasty details right off the bat.

"We knew how the second season was going to end," Fuller explained during January's Television Critics Association's winter press tour, according to HitFix. "I just didn't want to wait to the end of the season to see it. It was purely selfish."

Could the series be setting up Jack for his death? With Fishburn's involvement in the upcoming HBO series The Right Mistake, TV Line claims there is always the possibility that Jack will not appear in a third season of Hannibal (if there is one).

Hannibal returns to NBC on Feb. 28 at 10 p.m. ET.
