Kerry Washington has proved that the show must go on despite being pregnant, as she was spotted on the set of Scandal with her huge baby bump. 

On Monday, paparazzi caught the 37-year-old mother-to-be walking around the Pasedena California set of her hit-ABC series. 

After news broke that she was expecting her first child with husband, Nnamdi Asomugha, fans wondered if her real-life pregnancy would be incorporated into the script. But a source told Life & Style magazine that her character Olivia won't be pregnant in the show and that her bump will 'be hidden.'

She arrived on set wearing a black top, baggy blue jeans and brown uggs. She looked happy and comfortable as she waved to fans. See photos here:

Washington had a fun-filled weekend. On Saturday she won an award for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series for her role on Scandal at the NAACP Image Awards and on Sunday she celebrated the impending arrival of her little one at a baby shower thrown by Shonda Rhimes. 

She was surrounded by 50 of her closest female family members and friends, which included actresses Jane Fonda, Cecily Tyson, Tracee Ellis Ross and Scandal co-stars, Darby Stanchfield, Katie Lowes, as well as her in-laws. 

No word on when Washington is due, but Fonda did reveal the actress is 7-months along. The gender of her baby has yet to be revealed. 

Scandal returns to ABC Thursday, Feb. 27.
