Janet Jackson & Husband Wissam Al Mana Divorce Rumors Squashed As Private Couple Bought House in NYC?

Sources shut down rumors that Janet Jackson and Wissam Al Mana were divorcing and said that they reportedly bought a house together in New York City.

"The rumors about their marriage are a lie. They are very happy and very much together. In fact, the couple has recently purchased an even larger home in New York," the source told Entertainment Tonight about the couple's relationship.

Janet's always been very private about her love life. Her own sister, La Toya Jackson, revealed to Essence in 2013 that her family wasn't aware of Janet's secret marriage and they found out the same time as the public.

"You know what? I didn't know that Jan was married until I heard it in the media," La Toya said. "It's true! Most of the family members-- no one really knew. Not at all. You'd be surprised how you'd find out things in the media."

While most families would want to know about what the immediate members are up to, it seems that La Toya did not see the trouble with finding out with the general public.

"I know that in my family a lot of times you keep things private because you don't want anybody to know," she said. "Nobody knew, really."

And even though Janet did not call her directly to share the news, La Toya stressed that there are no issues within the family, saying, "Everything's fine!"

Perhaps Janet's kept a lower profile since the Jackson family has dealt with a lot of scrutiny following the death of Michael Jackson and the publicized court proceedings with Dr. Conrad Murray.
