The appearance of Ben Kingsley's Trevor Slattery character in a short Marvel film titled All Hail The King has reignited rumors that a fourth Iron Man movie could be in the works.

Will Robert Downey Jr. Leave Iron Man Franchise?

Co-writer Drew Pearce revealed in an interview back in January a slight hint of a possible new Iron Man flick.

"By the end of the short, there are definitely a lot of exciting other places that are brought up in it that could then go in the Marvel universe," Pearce said. "You know, whether that's an Iron Man movie or another one going into Phase Two or Three."

Avengers 2 Trailer?

Kingsley spoke with Entertainment Weekly where he gave some humor on his character in an article that was published on Tuesday.

"I actually worried about him," Kingsley joked. "I visited him in rehab and I told him not to worry because he was going to be in a short!"

All Hail the King is included in the DVD extras for Thor: The Dark World where Pearce talked about the Mandarin's appearance in all the Iron Man movies.

"It's weird. The idea for the short was there before any of the kind of storm in a teacup following our Mandarin reveal," Pearce said. "What's actually interesting as well is that the evidence of the 'real' Mandarin is laid out in all of the Iron Man movies, as well as all the stuff we said around the release of the movie. The Ten Rings are part of 'Iron Man 1,' they make an appearance in deleted scenes in 'Iron Man 2,' and we're very specific about the fact that he's a real guy that exists in the world."
