Manny Pacquiao is set to fight Timothy Bradley on April 12 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, but according to one expert he doesn't stand a chance.

In an interview with the boxing website, RingTV.com, Larry Merchant said that Pacquiao seems "eager" for the fight, but he doesn't believe he can beat Bradley.

"The question for Manny is whether he will have the ability and the fire to force a fight, and to return a little bit to his previous incarnations," Merchant said.

"But Tim Bradley is a younger guy and he still thinks that he's got stuff to prove, and that's what makes Bradley who he is."

Merchant, a former sportswriter and longtime commentator for HBO Sports added, "Bradley wins every place that he goes. If there is any resistance, he wears you out. He's a damn good fighter."

The two first fought in June 2012 and the winner was Bradley, who also believes Pacquiao lacks one important quality needed to defeat him.

"He's a nice dude, man," Bradley told The New York Daily News at a press conference in February. "Pacquiao is very humble, very spiritual. But I don't think he has that killer instinct. I don't think he has that fire in him. I really don't."

To that, Pacquiao, who hasn't won a fight by stoppage since defeating Miguel Cotto in 2009, responded, "I'm not predicting this fight. I'm not saying I'll knock him out. But I will do my best to win convincingly."
