An Arab prince reportedly asked German model Claudia Schiffer out on a dinner date where she would've been paid a good haul of money.

On Thursday, Daily Mail reported that the prince had apparently wanted to "hire" Schiffer for the date with an offer at one million pounds, which left the model outraged.

Schiffer was looking back on the craziest moments of her career when this one came to mind.

"The strangest one was an Arab prince. He asked if he could hire me for a dinner for a million pounds," Schiffer said. "I declined and some other supermodel took it."

"It's not all about money," Schiffer added. "I just want to be able to walk down the street and be proud of what I do."

The model was also just on the Jonathan Ross Show where she revealed that despite her ability to pose in bikini shots for the camera, she is actually a shy person.

"I am just shy when there are lots of people," Schiffer revealed. "I'm okay when we're just one on one, or maybe four people, or six. More than that is not really comfortable for me, it doesn't feel good."

"I'm a really, really shy person," Schiffer added. "It does help when I'm in make-up or getting dressed up. That's why modeling kind of works."

The model then brought up her school girl days where she was mocked for her height, though she now stands at 5'11.

"I was the loser at school. Everyone called me 'Duck' because my bum stuck out, and I walked kind of funny because my legs are a bit funny, and I was really tall," she said.
