Phil Dunphy's (Ty Burrell) mother may have passed away last season, but it looks like her son is only just getting around to taking care of a few matters in her will.

It turns out Australia held a very special place in the dearly departed's heart, according to TV Guide, mainly because it was where her only son was conceived. In order to help Phil connect with the land that brought him into existence, Mama Dunphy set aside a tidy bit of cash so that her son could visit Oz.

However, sending the notoriously accident prone American and his clan to the notoriously venomous Outback may not be the best idea. Even Burrell was a little terrified of the countries extensive list of poisonous creatures.

"The whole trip [to Australia] was just filed with like, 'What are the things that scare you the most? Well we've got a list of them for you here," the actor joked on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

As for what fans can expect from the upcoming episode, well, executive producer Steve Levitan promises viewers will see at least three quintessential Australian items.

We promise to feature a kangaroo, a koala and a boomerang," Levitan joked, according to E!. "I'm sure there will be lots more, but so far that's all we know about Australia - our American school system is a disaster."

Modern Family airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC. The Australian episode was shot in February and will air later this season.
