Supernatural will be getting an ominous visit from a familiar reaper before season 9 comes to a close.

Tentatively titled "Stairway to Heaven," episode 22 will feature the return of Tessa (Lindsey Mckeon), a beautiful reaper whose confidence is killer.

"Off to Vancouver to reprise my beloved role as #TessaTheReaper @cw_spn Stay tuned, you will all be very excited," McKeon tweeted on Tuesday.

With heaven in lockdown and souls are filling up the veil, it's a surprise a reaper hasn't popped up sooner. Known for their ability to enter and exit the realms of the afterlife - Heaven, Hell, and Purgatory - one of Death's employees will probably be necessary if the Winchesters are trying to make a trip upstairs, as the episode title implies.

Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) has never been Tessa's favorite human, especially considering he slipped through her fingers during "In My Time of Dying," but they have worked together in the past. Partnered up during season 4's "Death Takes a Holiday" and season 6's "Appointment in Samarra" (see video below), their missions together have largely been successful.
