Kacey Musgraves' Same Trailer Different Park won the award for Album of the Year at Sunday night's Academy Country Music Awards.

There were five nominees up for the 2014 Album of the Year, and Musgraves claimed the honor while competing with Blake Shelton's Based On A True Story, Luke Bryan's Crash My Party, Florida Georgia Line's Here To The Good Times, and Tim McGraw's Two Lanes of Freedom.

Each of these heavy-hitting artists has received various awards over the last year.

Shelton's eighth album has dominated the Album of the Year picks and he received the award from both the Country Music Association Awards and the American Country Awards during 2013.

However, Musgraves trumped his victories when she was presented with the 2014 Grammy for Best Country Album of the Year.

Meanwhile, Florida Georgia Line have been raking in nominations for their singles and their role as a break out talent while Luke Bryan was recognized as the best Male Country Artists at the American Music Awards.

Despite being a well-established name, Tim McGraw kept a fairly low profile on the 2013-2014 awards circuit.
