Tuesday, Deadline reported, "the gross audience for HBO's buzzy new drama series True Detective starring Matthew McConaughy and Woody Harrelson has risen to 11.9 million viewers per episode, making it the most-watched first-year series in HBO's history." To open the discussion, the post states, "For me, I would love to see Bryan Cranston and Christian Bale do a younger and older guy partnership, set in America (landscape on Season 1 was spectacular) and maybe on the hunt for a murderer(s) with a racism angle as the main plot..." Subsequently, other show enthusiasts chimed in mentioning actors like Will Smith, Nicolas Cage, Edward Norton, Samuel Jackson, Michael Fassbender, Javier Bardem, Christoph Waltz and Anthony Hopkins. Plus, on par with the reported demands for a female lead in Season 2, some of the actresses named included Jennifer Lawrence, Sandra Bullock, Jessica Chastain, Salma Hayek and Amy Adams.
