Meet Julia, Hank Moody's (David Duchovny) former lover who got pregnant after a fling, had a child, raised that child, and never bothered to tell Hank about it. Now a quirky, sassy, super hot mom, she enters Showtime's final season of Californication. And she is played by none other than Heather Graham.

Californication Cruising Into Final Season

"I love Tom's [Kapinos] writing, and I appreciate that he made Julia really sassy and quirky," the actress told Daily News on Sunday, "because in real life I'm definitely sassy and quirky."

Californication's show creator, Tom Kapinos, approached Graham, 44, about joining the cast, then incorporated aspects of her personality into the character. In the show, her now 21-year-old son, Levon (Oliver Cooper) poses as a journalist to wrangle an interview from his estranged father.

Heather Graham's Super Hot and Happily Single?

Graham is best known for her sex kitten (and drug addict) roles: Felicity Shagwell in Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, Jade, a stripper/escort in The Hangover I and III, Nadine, an addict in Drugstore Cowboy, and that blonde woman whipping her hair back and forth in Lenny Kravitz's American Woman video.

Graham had never seen Californication before being tapped by Kapinos, but she really enjoys Hank's character:

"David's character is very flirty, and one of the ways he flirts is by trying to make you laugh. This was especially the case in the first few episodes... Even though he has such a complicated relationship with Karen (Natascha McElhone) and all women, there's a side to him that's really sweet. It's an interesting contrast between his sex life and his life as a parent."

In addition to Californication, the bubbly star desires to create her own material that tells her own story. She's written a movie that she hopes to direct, star and shoot in New York.

"I love female-driven smart comedies," she says."It's a comedy about sex from a female point of view, revolving around three female friends... It's inspired by things I love, like SATC and Tootsie. I love comedies that are also smart and about something important."
