RuPaul's Drag Race is down to its final five contestants, and Courtney Act, who remains in the competition, dished on the issues of the show, including the "female vs. she-male" controversy as well as why things have been so heated between her and Joslyn Fox.

On Monday, Philly Mag posted an interview with Courtney Act who revealed that the "she-male" incident was a sensitive subject that can be argued on both sides.

"Some of my trans friends have expressed that they feel uncomfortable with the words 'tranny,' or 'she-male,' so it was really no big feat for me to delete them from my vocabulary," Act said. "I think the real issue has got less to do with the words, and more to do with the way certain activists are trying to bring out change."

The controversy involved a contest where the competitors had to look at pictures of female parts and decide if the person was physically a female, or a male dressed as one or in the process of becoming one.

Act also discussed what was going on between her and Joslyn Fox during their bicker scenes, which apparently led people to believe that Act wasn't nice. This supposedly included an incident when Act told Fox that no one would believe her as the "after" if she, herself, is the "before."

"Preceding that, we had been joking around," Act said. "She was setting me up to say that line because we both thought it was funny. But then, of course, by the time it makes it to the television, it's a slightly different story."

Act then said that she and Fox are friends.
