Police in New York are looking for singer The Dream after he allegedly beat up his pregnant girlfriend.

According to TMZ, the music producer punched, kicked and choked his ex-girlfriend Lydia Nam. The alleged incident took place in April 2013 at the Plaza Hotel, about three months before Lam gave birth to their son. It is unknown if Nam suffered from any physical injuries.

The Dream, whose real name is Terius Nash has denied the allegations, but law enforcement officials say that he is now wanted in question in connection with what happened.

Sources close to the situation said that Nam is not telling the truth, as she is using the incident as a way to extend her visa in the United States. Nam is Canadian.

Prior to the recent accusations, Dream was already arrested in connection with another separate domestic violence incident last June in Newport Beach.

The Dream was previously married to Christina Milian. They have a daughter together, Violet.

In an interview with Houston radio station 97.9, Milian expressed disappointment for her ex-husband not being around her daughter.

"I'm not one of those parents or mothers who say, 'oh you can't spend time', or be that way with a baby daddy and try to withhold their children and use that against them," she said. "I'm just going to leave it at;  My daughter is a great kid and she has a lot of love around her and some day she is going to have a man in her life that loves her the way I do."
