The secrets of a small town will come tumbling out when the murder of a young boy ignites an intense investigation on Gracepoint.

When Danny Solano (Nikolas Filipovic) is found dead on a Gracepoint beach, Detective Emmett Carver (David Tennant) and Detective Ellie Miller (Anna Gunn) will have a difficult case ahead of them in Fox's adaptation of ITV's hit series Broadchurch.

Although the Americanized 10-episode miniseries will boast a different ending from it's mothership and contain slightly altered characters, the new drama will retain Tennant, who played DI Alec Hardy in the original, as it's lead male.

"Gracepoint is a small town in northern California and our story begins early one morning when the body of a 12-year-old boy is found on the beach," Tennant explained in a Fox interview. "It's the story of the investigation of that murder alongside the story of that boy's family alongside the story of the whole community really."

As Carver and Miller come to the conclusion that Danny's death was no accident, their search for a killer broadens to include everyone from the boy's parents to Miller's own 12-year-old son. There is one man who may have seen something, and that is Jack Reinhold (Nick Nolte), as show in the photos above. But does that knock him off the suspect list?

"Gracepoint is, more than anything else, a whodunit," explained executive producer Dan Futterman in a Fox interview. "You learn who everybody is in the town and how they're related to each other. You find out somebody's died and you know, all those people we just met, it's probably one of them that's responsible for this."

Gracepoint will air on Fox later this year. Click the video below to see a trailer.
