US Olympic Gymnastics Team 2012: Women's Team Announced for London Olympics

Today is an important day for the 2012 U.S. Olympic Gymnastic Trials. It is the final day of the women's competition for the sport.

Television coverage will be live on NBC from 9 to 11 p.m. ET.

There will also be a live stream of the women's final here at the Olympics official website, NBCOlympics.com.

Accoridng to the website, live streaming will be available with a cable, satellite or telco TV subscription that includes MSNBC and CNBC. Live streaming will not be available outside of the U.S.

The women's gymnastics competitions will be tape delayed in the Pacific and Mountain time zones but available live nationwide online.

Finalist Jordyn Wieber holds a slight edge heading into the final day of the women's all-around competition, according to sports wbesite sbnation.com. Her Day 1 score of 61.700 was just enough to edge Gabrielle Douglas who is second at 61.400. The winner of the all-around competition tonight will automatically qualify for the London Olympics.

Earlier today, the final spots for the men's Olympic gymnastics teams were announced by USA Gymnastics.

According to the website, the final gymnasts Danell Leyva of Miami/Team Hilton HHonors (Universal Gymnastics), and John Orozco of the Bronx, N.Y./Team Hilton HHonors (U.S. Olympic Training Center) were named to the team on Saturday, June 30 at the conclusion of the men's competition.

The complete women's team will be named following the conclusion of tonight's women's competition at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California.
