The new trailer for Transformers: Age of Extinction, which was released on May 15, gives fans a first good look at villains Stanley Tucci and Li Bing and also features some great fight sequences between Optimus Prime and Lockdown.
The clip begins with a look inside the industrial laboratory helmed by Stanley Tucci's character, Joshua. There is a huge hulk of a metal and wire, looking like one of the transformers, being inspected by researchers. Joshua is then seen with his assistant Sue Yueming (Li Bingbing) talking about a striking new development in their sophisticated lab.
Joshua toys with some metallic material floating in the air, which says is molecularly unstable. "This is the craziest advance is modern physics," Joshua says. He seems to have cracked what the Transformers are made of and is now set to replicate them.
Cut to the much-talked-about debut of the black Lambhorgini which is the vehicular form of Lockdown. The car is seen shape shifting and quickly metmorphosing into Lockdown, who is later seen battling Optimus Prime.
In one part of the trailer Optimus Prime tells Cade (Mark Wahlberg): "After all we have done, humans are hunting us, but I fear we are all targets now."
He also adds that "this is not war it's human extinction" and worries for his family of Transformers, asking, "How many more of my kind must be sacrificed?"
Transformers: Age of Extinction will hit theaters on June 27, 2014.
