One of Dancing With the Stars' three permanent judges might be calling it quits ahead of Season 19.

Dancing With the Stars Winners -- One More Joins the List

DWTS judge Len Goodman announced on Tuesday's Season 18 finale that the season might be his last. Speaking with eventual winner Meryl Davis and her partner Maks Chmerkovskiy, Goodman recited what appeared to be some prepared remarks about his potential exit from the show.

"Season 18 has been like a novel," he said. "Full of twists and turns, and we've come here to the last page and we're sure not sure how the story will end. For one, it'll be a happy ending, and I'm not saying this is true, but this might be my last season, and if it is I couldn't wish for a better dance to finish up with. You are great."

This caused host Tom Bergeron to step in with a quippy response: "We're going to talk mister, we're having a little talk after Bruno [Tonioli]."

Speaking of Tonioli, the rambunctious judge has previously stated that if Goodman were to leave Dancing With the Stars then he would likely follow right behind. The two also judge Britain's version of the show, called Strictly Come Dancing concurrently with America's show. They make transatlantic flights weekly in order to judge both of the shows.

Dancing With the Stars Season 19 premieres in fall 2014 on ABC, though the network has not yet announced a premiere date. It will return to its regular Mondays at 8 p.m. timeslot.
