The NCIS: Los Angeles team is in a world of trouble as they move into season 6, but they may soon receive a helping hand from their former operational psychologist.

'NCIS: LA' Series To Reach 'Zenith' At New Night & Time, What To Expect From Premiere

Nate Getz (Peter Cambor) was a regular throughout season 1, but the good doctor was subsequently tasked with tracking the Warriors of Islam and Cambor has only made select appearances since. In his most recent appearance, Getz returned to make sure Deeks and Sam were psychologically ready to return to the field following the events of "Ascension."

Luckily for fans, executive producer John Peter Kousakis would like to see Nate crop up at some point in season 6.

"A Saturday, long weekend, shout out to my friend and colleague @petercambor Miss you! Hope to see you next season! Monday at 10pm #ncisla," Kousakis tweeted on May 24.

However, Cambor probably won't appear in this September's premiere. Titled "Deep Trouble: Part 2," the premiere was filmed directly after work ended on the season 5 finale and Cambor did not appear to be on set.

While the premiere date has not officially been announced, Kousakis stated that it would be only 19 more weeks as of Saturday, a count which tentatively puts NCIS: LA's return on Sept. 29.
