"They absolutely want to get married," a Penn friend spilled to Us Weekly on May 31 about the couple. "They want to grow their family."

Theron has a son Jackson, while Penn has two children with ex-wife Robin Wright. The two first got together at the beginning of the year and have been talking their romance public with appearances at the Met Gala and her premiere for A Million Ways To Die In The West.

"Sean and I have known each other for 18 years. We were just really good friends. And it's been slow going because you are aware that you could screw that up and lose it," Theron told Vogue on May 19. "We had to think about it. But at the end of the day, it was somewhat effortless."

Theron also admitted that when she got together with Penn, she wasn't exactly looking for anything. "I wasn't in any place that I even wanted something like [a relationship]," Theron told Esquire UK. "Then one day you go: Oh, [Jackson's] almost two now, and he has his little activities that he goes to and he's got a bedtime now, and you have more time again."

"And it's like if you are open to something, if you just let it happen, it will happen. When you least expect it."
