Although the premise of the FOX reality TV show I Wanna Marry Harry is that 25 Americans believe they are fighting for the heart of the British royal (they're not), the redheaded lookalike now says he didn't enjoy tricking the women!

Does Matthew Hicks Feel Guilty About The Show?

"It wasn't easy and I didn't particularly enjoy that aspect of it," Prince Harry look-a-like Matthew Hicks said recently. "We were [pulling the sham] for a reason. At the end of the day it was for entertainment. It's lighthearted."

Hicks said that there was a reason it was necessary to "trick" the women on the television show. "We try to find out if these ladies are gold-diggers or shallow, or if they're genuine ladies that can fall for a genuine guy."

Did Prince Harry Breakup With His GF?

On last night's episode, some of the ladies were given the first one-on-one dates with "Harry." Kimberley went on a 6 a.m. balloon ride with the prince along with breakfast in the woods. The show even had the "paparazzi" interrupt them.

Jacqueline, Kelley, and Maggie went boating, but the actor Hicks isn't as good as the real Harry at the sport. The ladies also questioned "Harry" on his family, where Hicks was able to answer every question without a hitch. "There was a lot of cramming in the beginning, and I'm fortunate enough to have a really good memory," Hicks told Vulture previously about his royal knowledge. "Any facts or figures I was fine with. There was also a week of training where I did horse riding, polo, etiquette, acting, dance lessons. The majority of it was for show, and I didn't learn a huge amount. But it was an entertaining week, that's for sure."

Finally on last night's I Wanna Marry Harry, Prince Harry also kissed Meghan in the hot tub and awarded Karina the Crown Suite key. Harry also sent Carley home.
