Tim Tebow, one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, has decided to take a different approach to training. Tebow, who plays for the New York Jets, has begun training with the legendary Gracie family. According to TMZ, has joined up with the Gracie family at their headquarters in Torrance, CA.

Tebow was selected in the first round of the 2010 NFL draft by the Denver Broncos. He was a great addition to the team changing his team's record from 1-4 before he was the starter, and immediately started winning with him on the field. The Broncos were known for coming from behind late in the 4th quarter, until they won their first AFC West title and first playoff game since 2005. Tebow recently got traded to the New York Jets and is looking to bring them a championship using unique training methods like Mixed Martial Arts (MMA).

He turned to the Gracie family for guidance.

Royce Gracie is the head of the family known for his innovative use of Brazilian professional mixed martial artist. He has established a great presence as a UFC Hall of Famer and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner. Many people look to him as a legend and pioneer in the sport of MMA. The world first noticed Gracie when he domination in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. During 1993 and 1994, he was the tournament winner of UFC 1, UFC 2, UFC 4. He continued his UFC journey going to the championship match in a Superfight at UFC5 and fought to a draw with Ken Shamrock. Gracie is also well known for his pioneering work doing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. It is said that he revolutionized mixed martial arts with his results contributing to the movement towards handling and cross-training in the sport.

After training, the Gracie brother tweeted about their new member, saying "Everyone please give a warm welcome to the newest member of the Gracie Family."

Ryron also tweeted to Tim ... saying, "Your athleticism/intelligence makes teaching Jiu jitsu even easier!"
