When HuffPost Live asked about the rumors of Davis and Chmerkovskiy taking their partnership into dating each other, the ice dancer neither confirmed nor denied anything.

"I've never been one to comment on my personal life, but Maks and I have an amazing relationship," Davis explained. "Our chemistry, I think, definitely stems from, you know, our friendship, the time we spent together on and off the dance floor, and we had an amazing time."

Davis's ice dancing partner Charlie White also competed on Dancing With the Stars but finished in fifth place with his pro dancing partner, Sharna Burgess. White joined Davis in discussing romance rumors with HuffPost Live, essentially saying that it's natural for romance rumors to pop up.

"It's part of the territory of portraying characters that have to look like they're in love," White said. "You want to make it believable, you want people to walk away convinced that you are an actual couple. We worked with mimes, we worked with actors, and it's a real science."

Davis and White have had their fair share of dating rumors, but White is not discouraged by them.

"We always took it as a compliment, especially coming off the Olympics, when people would ask us."

Dancing With the Stars Season 19 premieres in fall 2014 on ABC, though the network has not yet announced a specific premiere date. It will be returning to its regular Mondays at 8 p.m. timeslot.
